    Parent Night: Navigating the Digital World Together

    Thursday, November 6th | 5:30–7:00 PM | LBHS Library

    Join us for an honest, down-to-earth conversation about what our kids are seeing and doing online. We’ll talk about the latest social media and drug trends, how cyberbullying and online drama really show up, and the clever ways some teens get around parental controls. We’ll also cover what the law says about online safety, how to spot red flags in online connections, and which apps or tools can help you stay involved in your child’s digital life.

    This evening is designed to help parents feel more confident and connected in guiding kids through today’s online world. (Some content may be sensitive and is intended for adults only.)

Welcome!

We welcome you to our school. At MVE we strive to develop “curious, creative, compassionate, competent, action-oriented citizens prepared to change the world.” This vision is supported by a caring and dedicated commitment from the community and families.

Nestled along the eastern slope of the North Cascades, MVE is a school of approximately 410 students and 50 staff members in grades Pre K-6th grade. Serving as an authorized International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Program (PYP) of study since 2017, the MVE staff works within an instructional framework that emphasizes research, critical thinking, communication, and self-management skills and social and emotional wellness using an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. The integrated units of study implemented at each grade level, build upon on each student’s natural curiosity about the world, how it works, and what can be done to make it a better place for all, which guides their learning.
